During the training, students will learn to interpret and comply with the legal requirements their occupation, as well as identify their role and responsibilities within the industry.
Minimum requirements
- compare the various jobs in the security industry (e.g. private investigation, security services, loss prevention, and patrol services)
- the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform well as a security guard
- describe a security guard’s responsibilities, activities, and demands (e.g. travel, off-hours, stress, risks, dangers, etc.)
- differentiate between private security and police officers
Note: The learning journal should be introduced here if the trainer intends to use it as a teaching tool throughout the course.
